Lunchbox sneak preview!!

It's nearly done! I am finishing off the matching fully-washable sandwich wrapper and the two snack bags that go with the set. But here is the sneak preview of the almost finished "Just for Grown-ups Lunchbox Set"....

The fabric was machine-washed in Neutral products and hot water to get it squeaky clean, set the dye, and pre-shrink the fabric. The support frame is made from plastic mesh so it not only breathes, but liquids can transfer through it without damaging it. In other words, a spill can be easily cleaned up without ruining the box shape. The bottom is a piece of recycled cardboard cold-laminated to make it water tight.

5 buttons keep the side and top closed during transport, but open to reveal a clean lunch space perfectly sized to fit along side the computer at your desk. The drink cozy is a loose fit around a can of soda, or a snugger fit over a small water bottle. This is my favorite feature because it keeps your can from sloshing around- not only preventing that unfortunate "explode" when you open it, but it also won't roll and smoosh your sandwich or break your crunchy snacks!

While it can't be tossed in the washer, it can be spot cleaned. And because it fully opens, it is super easy to de-crumb. I am so excited with the color scheme as I have had this massive "everything in green" obsession over the past week. I guess it is summer rubbing off on me. And I am not complaining.
